not really a fair race but as clarkson says you can’t be over 4′3″ to drive the Lotus. You want a nice car that you can fit into take the ’stang. More room in the back seat for a lovely lady or two. That’s what cars are all about.

It’s true though. Most American cars aren’t made for cornering, because there aren’t many corners in America on the public roads in comparison to, for example, England.
That’s a pretty stupid comparison to make. If they used a mustang that cost the same as the lotus (ie a supercharged, track geared suspension, steeda version), it would have gotten walked all over.

Yeah, and still the Exige would have won. If there are corners, almost any car would beat the GT.
They could have put it against ANY american production-roadcar, and on that track, the Exige would be faster, probably. The ONLY yank car that is comparable to the Exige for pure handling and cornering speed is perhaps the Corvette ZR1, the only descent American car.

this guys so high on is euro horse… but eimelb is stupid to american cars arent shit, Im sure ford could make a car that has nothing but a supercharged tiny engine made from sticks to and it would out maneuver this, but the fact is its not an everyday car, Id rather have the mustang with creature comforts then a lotus that the only option is power windows…thats why jeremy clarkson is a tool… what a totally unfair competition…my god
