Streetfire.net talks with Bob, owner of the the Death Race Mustang about collecting movie cars. He also owns cars from the Dukes of Hazard, and the Fast and the Furious films.
JERRY
yea he get’s through them… through they’re ***!! lmao that part in da movie is funny haha.. well im not really into mustangs but this one is bad ass
Ive seen that one also at the movie car place with the Batmobile, Herby & The *** car etc. but its restored. I wonder what the value of both of these cars are in such different condition?
I saw two general lees in TN. 1 in Gatlinburg and the one u saw.
He said that they was done with the car!!!
Dang want Death Race 2.
oh well there might make “better” cars.
if you go to smith bros they will build you a lee from the ground up you have to provide the charger of course i was wondering if barris designed the cars for death race and or if they have any openings at cinema cars would like to meet jason cool guy loved the transporter movies
Cant post the link but I googled General Lee Gas Station TN & found a forum that has pics of lots of TN landmarks that had one on it. Its sittin there on ramps with a sign telling about the car.
man… ya beat me to it, man… I wanted that car! lol
Dont bother asking about buying it, its NOT for sale at any price. Many have tried over the years. I would think that 20% or less of this car would be savable in a restoration. Would a real General Lee even be worth that kind of effort & cost to restore it for museum use?
One of these real General Lee cars is sitting out front of a gas station, in the weather as a landmark, in the middle of nowhere TN, down the road a few miles from me. The back looks fine but the front is mashed upward almost identical to the jumped one shown, might even be that car. Looks like it other than a lot more age. You can tell its a real stunt car & not just a paint job clone by the full roll cage inside.
Well, the reason being is that every Charger that does a ramp jump (and that’s on practically every episode) is written-off as “totaled” due to the extensive suspension damage sustained during landing. The same with every Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am used for Turbo Boosts in Knight Rider.
im guessing that the guns on it would make it hard to be street legal. i bet he gets pulled over once a day.lmao
Looks likes a great car.
By the way HD looks great!
