I do admit for the price of the car, it should have got the upgrade. whats 5,000 when your allready talking 50,000+???

500 is the crank HP. The HP showed on this is rear wheel. Just the engine makes 500. Drivetrain loss takes away power.

All you Mustang naysayers and yet they take a Roush… (moded GT) and run laps faster then an M3csl and a 911s. Yet Mustangs cant handle mustangs this mustangs that. Take clarksons word for it Brilliant! (fuck your sister or not)
Sadly you poor bastards have to pay out the *** for these cars. That roush would run ya less then 20k pounds in the U.S. Cars start to make a lot of sense at those prices!

For someone who does a car show, he doesn’t seem to know the basics of power numbers. 500 HP is what the motor makes, it WILL be less by the time that power gets to the wheels! And what’s with that very last comment he made? Really?

Depneds on what you read I guess, seen pleanty of stock GT500s well below your 12.9. Havent seen an e92 run a quarter yet but cant imagine it would best a 12.4.

“m6 would kill it” Really ? Ya think so, Who gives a ****.

roush mustangs

The ‘68 only delivered 250HP because the dyno measures net HP, not the gross HP that manufacturers used in their ads. That’s at the flywheel with nothing hooked up. After ‘73, the HP was measured at the rear wheels with everything hooked up. Much more realistic.

The 390 is probably detuned to tolerate today’s sorry gasoline. I’ll bet if he fed it some 100LL aviation gas and dyno tuned it, it would put out close to 290HP at the rear wheels.

M6 would just kill it.

This isn’t fastest car.

stock m3 goes 12.5 1/4mile while gt500 is 12.9

and m6 is even faster 12.1 1/4mile
